Sutho COVID-19 access rules update -23 July

The good old days – Herb Fibbins Carnival at Sutho last year

Due to the evolving COVID situation in Metropolitan Sydney, venue rules affecting Sutherland Hockey Club have changed. These are in accordance with NSW Health and Hockey NSW requirements. All persons attending our facilities MUST abide by COVID-19 Safety Procedures. There are no exceptions.

Attendance Record

    1. Everyone entering our Club grounds MUST record their attendance. Players and officials will have their attendance recorded on match cards. Everyone else MUST sign-on via QR code using their mobile phone’s camera at the ground entrance registration desk. If they re unable to use a QR code, they must sign-in on a paper sheet.
    2. No-one must enter our ground if they are unwell, are caring for a person who is unwell, or are under instruction from NSW Health to social isolate.

Facility operation

    1. Follow Hockey NSW guidelines of, “Get in, Play, Get out.” Arrive ready to play, leave promptly after games.
    2. No spectators. One (1) guardian is allowed to supervise minors.
    3. All visiting teams MUST adhere to SEHA and SHA competition COVID-19 rules.
    4. Maintain social distancing of 1.5m where practical.

Teams field access

  1. All teams must follow the above a field access and exit process. This includes pre-match gathering and use of the dugouts and surrounding areas.

Dugouts

    1. Maintain social distancing in dugouts.
    2. NO team huddles in dugouts, as they are too small to socially distance. Pre- and post-match meetings may be held on the top field only.
    3. Coaches, managers and subs may use dugouts during the game, with social distancing.
    4. Coach/Manager to wipe down benches at the end of the match. Wipes are provided.

Canteen – CLOSED 

Hygiene

    1. Sanitise hands on arrival and departure.
    2. Observe cough etiquette.
    3. No spitting, clearing nasal passages.
